I provide tailored supervision to support counsellors and mental health professionals in their vital work. My approach integrates extensive experience from both counselling and education, fostering a reflective and supportive environment for your professional development.
Clinical supervision
Clinical supervision is an open, professional conversation about one's work as a counsellor or mental health professional whose clients are adults and/or children. Clinical supervision is a requirement of registration for counsellors and other mental health workers. Clinical supervision respects professional boundaries as well as explores, in a mutually respestful manner, the challenges of working with diverse clients. The model of clinical supervision is that of walking together in a trusted journey with an experienced, qualifies and knowlegeable colleague.
Pastoral supervision
Receive dedicated support for your pastoral role, exploring personal well-being, spiritual integration, and the challenges unique to this field. Pastoral supervision is the safe space for educational leaders, ministers, parish workers and associates to reflect on their roles and listen to their own experiences of growth and how they function in their roles: responsibilities, challenges and achievements as well as their professional and personal growth needs.
Pastoral supervision is not spiritual direction which more directly focuses on one's personal faith journey. Spiritual direction is another source of support and may be better kept distinct in their purposes and access.
Online sessions
Access convenient and flexible supervision from anywhere. My online sessions provide the same quality support and engagement as face-to-face meetings.
I use either TEND or Zoom for online sessions as I prefer to work if a video image, and TEND is a zoom-like interface designed for supervisors and their clients.
I can also use telehealth adn phone calls if this is required in some personal circumstances.
